Never invented here
Foyer hands out only codes you uploaded and never makes one up, because a code it invented would be refused at your checkout. What a code is worth, when it expires and what it applies to stay in the system that made it.
Guest experience · Thank-you codes
A guest who stops to report a problem has done you a favor. Thank-you codes hand them one of your own discount codes at the moment you choose: when they file the report, when it is resolved, or after they rate the visit. A code given on a report is remembered against that report; a code given after a rating is never tied to the score.

How it works
Create a batch in your own website, booking system or POS — which is also where each code's value and expiry are set — and upload it to Foyer, up to 5,000 at a time: one per line, or a CSV with the code in the first column.
Three, each switched on separately and all off to start: when a guest files a report, when their report is marked resolved — every time, or only when the manager ticks the box — and when they rate the visit.
One sentence you write sits above every code, saying what it is worth and where it works. A report's code shows on the confirmation, a resolved report's on the guest's tracking page, and a rating's straight after the tap; the “it's fixed” email carries a report's codes too.
A code handed out on a report is recorded against that report, so when it is redeemed at your own checkout an admin can look the code up and find the report behind it.
What you get
Foyer hands out only codes you uploaded and never makes one up, because a code it invented would be refused at your checkout. What a code is worth, when it expires and what it applies to stay in the system that made it.
A code after a visit rating is the same whatever the answer, and there is deliberately no setting to reward only low or only high scores. A rating's code records only the location and the day, never the rating.
Each placard gives out at most 20 codes a day unless you change it, so one person by the door cannot empty a pool. Past the cap, guests see the confirmation they always saw. Codes for resolved reports are never capped, because a person closed the report.
The settings page suggests a prefix for each pool — ISSUE-, FIXED-, NPS- — so your own checkout report says where a code came from, and the Monday digest names any pool with fewer than 25 codes left.
In your kind of venue
A code toward a future stay can wait on a guest's tracking page once the problem they reported is resolved.
A diner who reports a problem from the table can be handed a code for their next visit on the confirmation screen.
Codes for resolved reports can be set to go out only when the manager closing one ticks the box, so a person decides each time.
A member who rates the visit by the exit can be handed a code from your own booking system, the same whatever they answered.
A tenant who reports a fault at an unstaffed site can be handed a code on the confirmation, capped per placard so nobody at the gate can empty the pool.
A customer who reports the restroom can be handed a code for the store, made in your own POS.
A code redeemed at your own checkout traces back to the store it came from, and a report's code to the report behind it.

Questions
From you. The codes are made in your own website, booking system or POS, which is also where their value and expiry are set, and uploaded to Foyer in batches of up to 5,000. Foyer hands out at most one per scan and never invents a code of its own.
No. A code after a rating is the same whatever the rating said, and there is deliberately no setting to target low or high scores. The one moment a person can decide is a resolved report, which can be set so a code goes only when the manager closing it ticks the box.
Yes, for codes handed out on a report: Foyer remembers which report each one went to, and an admin can look a code up. Codes handed out after a visit rating record only the location and the day, never the rating.
No. Every switch starts off, and only the account admin can turn them on or upload codes, because the codes are your money.
The confirmation they would have seen anyway. An empty pool or a placard past its daily cap never shows a guest an error, and the Monday digest names any pool that is running low.
